The subject of Stadt-Raum-Kunst needs to include roads, as far as Susana Ribeiro is concerned. Consequently, in her works, “Der Weg 1” and “Der Weg 2” she contemplates human beings on their personal road, their development. A lustrous road intersection speaks of golden times. In her painting, colour is the metaphor for an individual decision which at the same time has an impact on the environment. With her artistic decisiveness for strong, clear fields of colour and also gentle, delicate lines, sometimes using yarn, and individualised decor ascriptions, she vehemently requests a presence, for people to pay attention to themselves, to others, to nature and to the cosmos. The composition and the intensity of the colours challenge the viewer to remain consciously anchored in the present at every moment.
